Hi, I’m Rach

The story so far

Basketball. Soccer. Tennis. Netball. I loved playing sports as a kid! But somewhere along the way (and two kids later) life got busy, and working out was the chore I often left off the “to do” list. That all changed when I picked up a basketball again aged 31.

Suddenly, working out became fun again! I found myself shooting around at the local park as often as I could and wondering if I could maybe get back on the court again (spoiler: I could and I did!). But the journey wasn’t without some bumps in the road. I had forgotten most of what I’d learned as a kid, I was in desperate need of a crash course on the rules, and my body didn’t move the way it used to in my 20s!

Fast forward 5 years and I’m playing competitive basketball every week and having the time of my life! Staying active is easy now because I love how strong I feel on the court. Now I use my knowledge as an exercise scientist to help women like you and me get back to playing basketball for fun and fitness. I often joke that I did it the long way first so that you can do it the quick way.

Keep reading to find out how I can help you get back on the court safely.

What I believe

It’s not too late

A lot of us dropped out of sport as teenagers. You can get back in, and you’ll probably love it.

No egos here

Normal women who are kind of sporty, learning together and having fun.

Prepare your body

Training that gradually exposes you to the movements and speeds of basketball is a great way to reduce your injury risk. I can’t promise zero injuries, but I can help you stack the odds.
